Green Lantern Power Ring Kit (Mega Mini Kits) ReviewThis item is very much so one of those double standards. It's not expensive, and while it's in the box, it looks soooooo neat. The box itself is really nice, and it comes with a little 'history' booklet that's sort of like a comic about the Corps. Inside the plastic display box, the ring looks nice and green and very neat. But when you take it out of the box, it's one of those cheapo little birthday party style rings, or like the other review said, like one of those large clunky pieces of ring candy they used to have. LOL One nice little aside fact is that there is a small button, and when pushed, the ring lights up a vibrant green. However, there doesn't seem to be ANY way designed to open the ring in case you need to change whatever powers the ring. (It is NOT willpower in this case folks. LOL)
So like I said, the box is nice, and the ring has it's uses. I open the box up like a card, (It folds opena and closed with a magnetic strip.) So when folded open, you can see the ring in it's case, which looks MUCH cooler in the case than out, as I said, (Even though we know that the ring itself is one of those cheapo clip on styles. LOL) and with it open, it displayes the cover of the little mini comic, and the ring itself. It look REALLY nice sitting in front of my collection of Green Lantern graphic novels and statues.
So all in all, this isn't a bad little find for 9 dollars. I got both my best friend and I one, and we're going to wear them to the Green Lantern movie when it comes out this summer. LOL It's a neat little novelty, and it definitely has a place in my Green Lantern collection. (There are however MUCH better rings for wearing...
