White Collar Boxing: One Man's Journey from the Office to the Ring ReviewThis book is very repetitive and poorly written. For every one of the fights, Oden repeats himself. Essentially he just says, it's a big fight and he's dedicated to intensify his training. Sure, maybe it's true, but of the many other boxing books I read, the author tends to be able to make it more interesting.
Also this book is very narrowly focused on investment banker (which Oden proudly is) boxing, as opposed to white collar boxing in general. There is very little mention of other white collar boxers beside investment bankers. Most gyms I've been to have a very wide range of white collar boxers from dentists to lawyers to office managers to graduate students.
I highly recommend "The Gloves" by Robert Anasi which is a very interesting look inside the mind of a white collar boxer.White Collar Boxing: One Man's Journey from the Office to the Ring Overview
