Chapter 6 (Token Ring Hardware) gives a detail of MAUs and MSAUs and their physical connections. Chapter 7 (Token Ring Software and Process) is just EXCELLENT. It is easy to read and explains the physical layer transmission process, Packet and Frame Components, IPX/SPX on token ring, TCP/IP on token ring etc. Other chapters of interest to Token Ring Administrators maybe Part 4 : Network Troubleshooting which is again broken down into 3 chapters (Network Monitoring tools, Debugging with the Scanner, Debugging with the Protocol Analyzer).The Token-Ring Management Guide (Mcgraw-Hill Series on Computer Communication) Overview
