Freedom's Ring: Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Salvation ReviewI have often been disappointed with religious liturature because it can be shallow and general in nature. This book is quite refreshing as it is neither shallow nor general. Biblical doctrine is clearly taught in detail with an abundance of scripture footnoting. The concepts are organized very well and the author is clear with his presentation, direction, and conclusions....again, all firmly grounded in footnoted scripture for your reference. Each chapter concludes with a fill-in question and answer section to reinforce the concepts discussed.
The author provides a wonderful study on the Law and its relation to sin and inevitably to salvation. All to often the modern teaching of salvation is reward and entertainment based without proper teaching of the Law. The author explains how failure to use the Law can result in false hope and even false converts. Concepts such as the error of teaching the fruits of salvation as opposed to the awareness of the absolute necessity of salvation are presented and discussed in depth.
When was the last time someone provided you with a complete and detailed discussion on propitiation? Are you thoroughly learned on the intercessory and supernatural power of His precious shed blood? Is it your faith that saves you or is it Christ's faith that accomplishes this and why? Such discussions and many more are presented all throughout the text.
I would highly recommend this book to the christian who is seeking maturity through a deeper understanding of biblical doctrines.
