COLD SUMMER NIGHTS ReviewThis is the second book I have read by this author and I just have to say he is a great writer. He makes me laugh, he keeps me held in suspense, he throws in little quirks (like his mention of one of his other books Cold Faith and Zombies, yep I caught it!) and he keeps my attention held from beginning to end. I just love his writing style, it is so down to earth and every day, like what he is writing about is just another normal everyday occurrence. Cold Summer Nights was no different. It is a short read but jam-packed full of errie goodness from the first page to the end. I loved the characters in this story and what I loved even more was the creep factor: shadows in the dark, a mysterious girlfriend that just pops up out of nowhere that no one really seems to know anything about, Nick (the main character)seeing his grandma in his room, considering the fact she had been in a vegetative state for a couple years and hadn't spoken a word. I don't want to give away anymore and ruin it for readers.
Basically, you have got to read this book and jump on board the Sean Thomas Fisher bandwagon. Then go to his blog and become a GFC member fishblogwash(dot)blogspot(dot)com for more information on his books and anything else on his mind. Sean's blog is one of my fav's, visit it and I'm sure it will be one of your's too. I can't wait to read what Sean brings forth in the future!!

Jackson is trying to lead Cam and Whit away and has to leave Cassie in the process. Cassie and the pack are still running themselves ragged between school, training and running perimeters. The Harper's Ring ReviewJust received this short story and started to read the first few pages to see what it was about. As usual with Holly Patrone's writing, the story pulled me in and I read it all as soon as I downloaded it. This author has a great knack of bringing you into the book as if you are there with the characters. You don'f truly appreciate your freedom until you read about people that are stripped of theirs. The Wolf Ring (an erotic/erotica paranormal romance) ReviewNo SPOILERS or plot summaries. Recommendations included.
HIGH LEVEL: This is a short story that reads like the opening chapters of an over-dramatized paranormal romance. There was some magic: magical ring, legend of werewolves come to life in a whimsical way. Overall, however, it was pretty unsatisfying.
SEXUAL CONTENT: While it is labeled as "erotic" - there was really only one scene of lust and it was just OK. It was sexy in a desperate kind of way, but felt incomplete.
PLOT & CHARACTERS: Not really much plot and the story was so short that pacing was irrelevant. Mostly this was just incomplete. It read like a vignette, not a story. The characters were undeveloped, though the man was intriguing. It might have been fun to get to know him better through a longer story.
BOTTOM LINE: This story is one word: HARMLESS. Nothing really to it, but nothing terribly against it except that it was too short. If this had been developed into a real book, it might have turned out to be "just ok." As it is, though- not worth reading.
RECOMMENDATIONS:

3. Dana Marie Bell's Dare to Believe (The Gray Court) - sexy, humorous para-romance with all manner of fae: Sidhe, dragons, leprechauns, vampires and more
4. Kresley Cole's slightly more adventurous and intricate magical romance series (never mind the ridiculous title): A Hunger Like No Other (Immortals After Dark, Book 1)
5. Jacquelyn Frank's Jacob (The Nightwalkers, Book 1) - demons, were, vamps and other fae finding their better halves in races that should be the enemy
6. Marie Harte's Rachel's Totem - lighter, less developed para-erotica featuring a variety of shifters in a quirky little town
7. Moira Rogers' basic werewolf romance series: Cry Sanctuary: Book 1 of Red Rock Pass series
8. Moira Rogers' magically diverse romance series Crux: Southern Arcana, Book 1
9. Nalini Singh's Slave to Sensation (Psy-Changelings, Book 1) - romance series which features weres and psychics, but also carries plotlines with some substance
10.
