The Use and Complexity of Sex Magic ReviewI loved this book.It drew me in and I didn't want to leave this world. The women characters were strong and well developed, the hero was hot! Loved the sex magic scenes.
Norfarland's adventures were funny and I loved the way it all tied together in the end. If you like romantic fantasy, this is definitely one you don't want to miss.

Keeper of the Rings (Futuristic Romance) ReviewThere are many mysteries in the Keeper of the Rings just waiting to be unveiled. Nancy Cane did a marvalous job of creating her fictional world. One of my favorites scenes involled something that I can only compare to a cross between Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and the last scene in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Keeper of the Rings is an edge of the seat ride as Leena and Tauring undercover a treasonist operation that is in directly leading back to Tauring himself. There are many secrets in Taurin's past that are slowly fed to the reader until nearly the last chapters. Questions may taunt the reader...like Why does Taurin cover his head when it gets darker? Where is Yllon? and what are the signifacants of the rings that circle Taurin's arm? The Invisible Ring (Black Jewels, Book 4) ReviewI read the Black Jewels trilogy when it first came out and thought it was about the best thing I'd read in a long time. Now Ms. Bishop comes out with The Invisible Ring, a story set in the same world as the trilogy, but hundreds of years before.
What some of the other reviews have suggested is that the characters weren't as well developed and they felt a bit "let down". Keep in mind that this is a *standalone* book and so Ms. Bishop did not have 3 books to develop characters. Also, only 2 of the same characters from the trilogy show up in Ring, and I think some were expecting something along the same thing. Don't listen to them! This book takes place essentially over a few weeks or months, NOT many years as the trilogy.
Others have already written about the plot, so I won't go into that here. Ms. Bishop has a website that has an excerpt of The Invisible Ring posted, so I suggest that you go read that for yourself!...The Invisible Ring (Black Jewels, Book 4) Overview

With This Ring ReviewDon't be fooled by bland reviews, _With This Ring_ is classic Amanda Quick. Teeming with the usual mystery, romance, adventure and passion readers have grown to love, _With This Ring_ is right on par with all of Ms. Quick's earlier works. I'd even go so far as to say it has become one of my favorites by her.
In Beatrice and Leo Ms. Quick has created two strong minded, mature and well rounded characters. Beatrice is lively, funny and intelligent. I really enjoyed reading about a heroine who was nearing thirty years old and who'd been wed and bed before. It was a nice, refreshing change of pace to see an older heroine who had a sensible head on her shoulders be swept away by desire. So many times romance authors inundate you with simpering beauties whose only attribute worth mentioning is their looks. Ms. Quick continually sets forth heroines who make you proud to be a woman and Beatrice does just that. Leo is exciting, sensual and has a magnetism that the reader feels right along with Beatrice. Watching him fall in love with Beatrice is a beautiful experience and when he gave her the legendary 'Mad Monk' token of love I cried.
As always, the plot was engaging and full of twists and turns that kept me absorbed right from the first. Another thing I really enjoyed about _With This Ring_ is the fact that Ms. Quick alludes to a character from one of her previous books. It was nice to see a name I recognized and be able to recall another extraordinary book of her's that I'd read.
Anyone who has read this book and didn't like it should give it a second read through, surely you must have missed something the first time! Anyone who hasn't read this book -- what are you waiting for? Buy it now and be prepared for a marvelous read courtesy of Amanda Quick.With This Ring Overview

Real Mermaids Don't Wear Toe Rings ReviewMy Thoughts: Real Mermaids was a purely cute read! We are introduced to Jade who is 13 years old. She has a best friend named Cori who she likes to share everything with. She lives with her dad. Her mom died a year ago and she's been missing her ever since.
Jade likes a boy named Luke. This is a somewhat new crush. He comes back into town after being away for a while. The thing is, he used to make fun of her for a while, or at least she thought so, calling her scissor lips. He comes back with nice hair, a killer tan, and really cute.
Jade gets her first period and its quite a funny situation. If I was in Jade's position and didn't know much about what would happen, I would have been really nervous and embarrassed too!
One night while Jade is in the bathtub she falls asleep and wakes up with a tail. What is going on? Is she a mermaid? Read the book to find out!
Overall: This was a cute book. It didn't have much real depth to it. Just a sweet read. It felt more like a tween book than teen. No real substance to it besides just the fun factor. Still a cute read though. I liked Luke, I liked Cori, I liked the storyline. I'll definitely read the next book in the series though!

The Wolf Hunger (The Wolf Ring Series) ReviewThis was an exciting read. The author did a great job of creating believable, likeable characters. The narrator pays a lot of attention to detail, like the emotions and facial expressions of the characters. This was also evident in the subtle ways they express themselves. Another thing I liked is that there is an outside element - the ring - which adds suspense and mystery to the story. I also like that the action was divided into chapters, rather than one long one(as I've seen in some online erotic novellas). It made you want to go to the next chapter to see what happens next. The Wolf Ring (an erotic/erotica paranormal romance) ReviewNo SPOILERS or plot summaries. Recommendations included.
HIGH LEVEL: This is a short story that reads like the opening chapters of an over-dramatized paranormal romance. There was some magic: magical ring, legend of werewolves come to life in a whimsical way. Overall, however, it was pretty unsatisfying.
SEXUAL CONTENT: While it is labeled as "erotic" - there was really only one scene of lust and it was just OK. It was sexy in a desperate kind of way, but felt incomplete.
PLOT & CHARACTERS: Not really much plot and the story was so short that pacing was irrelevant. Mostly this was just incomplete. It read like a vignette, not a story. The characters were undeveloped, though the man was intriguing. It might have been fun to get to know him better through a longer story.
BOTTOM LINE: This story is one word: HARMLESS. Nothing really to it, but nothing terribly against it except that it was too short. If this had been developed into a real book, it might have turned out to be "just ok." As it is, though- not worth reading.
